Sun Splash

Every time we pass the water park while driving on the freeway Chris makes fun of me for wanting to go there so badly. Chris is not a fan of public pools and he thinks that water parks are for teenagers, plus they are expensive and he is a cheap, cheap man. Luckily for me, my friend Holly won 10 tickets to Sun Splash thanks to Arizona Central's midday program, so a group of us went last weekend.
Here Sadie is chillin' in the kiddie area with Neils and Gibson.
Me and Sadie
I was worried about bringing Sadie, but she had fun and let some other adults watch her so that we could go on some fun slides.
Thanks Holly for the tickets!

Sadie Snapshots

Just thought we'd share some fun pictures of Sadie. Sorry if you are bored of seeing pictures of Sadie, because her grandparents aren't!

I don't know why she was so happy to be in the laundry basket.

Seriously, who sleeps with one leg up in the air? That can't be comfortable.

And you though you were having a bad hair day.

It Doesn't Get Any Better

I realize that I have hit an all-time low as a mother, but I hate to break it to Sadie that it doesn't get any better than this. . .

Not much beats sitting in your underwear, eating cheerios, and watching tv.

Our Little Fish

A few lessons with our friend Holly and Sadie is ready to swim all by herself; well ... almost. We put those little floaties on her and now she has no fear. If she is on the landing and we are out in the middle of the pool, she will just swim on out. Of course, she doesn't really swim; she just kind of flops around until we go and get her. Our little fish is growing up so fast.

Private Blogs

I was just wondering if those of you who have private blogs will add me to your lists! My blogger email is princesslolly18@hotmail.com, and I love it when you read our blog and leave comments, and I would like to do the same in return! I respect those of you willing to go through the hassle of having a private blog. We should probably turn ours private, but we have been able to reunite with some old friends because our blog is open, so I don't see it changing. Plus, I don't think my mom could handle getting her own blogger account, let alone signing in every time she wanted to see our blog.

Zion National Park

We just got back from a much needed vacation in Zion National Park. My mom organized a family reunion for her and her four sisters and it was really fun! Each of the cousins were each in charge of an activity (I think there were about 18 cousins there), and Chris and I were in charge of the hike. Here are the highlights of our trip:

1. The t-shirts. Like any typical family reunion we had t-shirts that were color coordinated for each family. They were pretty cool and made it easy for us to identify which family everyone belonged to (there were some cousins there that I don't think that I have ever met and a few that I haven't seen in a long time.)

2. The t-shirts. You might be thinking that I just mentioned the shirts, but we ended up with a second set of shirts. This one was an inside joke with my family because when my brother and I were about 4 and 7 my parents got some pictures taken of us, and then decided to make shirts with one of the pictures. I don't think that I really minded that they had them when I was 4, but I didn't think it was so cool when I was 20 and dating Chris and my dad was still wearing it. My dad's shirt was pink (I say was because when my brother got home from his mission he got rid of it), I think, and my mom's was green. Green. We looked like we were going to throw up. My brother and sister decided it was pay-back time and made shirts with a picture from their recent trip to the Dominican Republic. They also added the caption, "Aren't they so cute! They belong to me."

3. The hike. We had a great time on our hike. We took a 2 hour hike to the top of the Emerald Pools and Chris was amazing; he carried Sadie on his shoulders all of the way up and back. We had a really good turn out for the hike. Here is Chris heading up half of the group:

4. Zions is beautiful. We had a pretty relaxing trip, and it was so nice to be out enjoying nature in such a pretty area. It also helped that we were out of cell phone range for most of the trip so we had no distractions!

5. The top of the hike. Sadie was great on the hike, she only complained when we made her leave the pools at the very top. She was just splashing and playing in the sand, it was so darn cute!
