Pictures

Sorry, nothing exciting, but i just want to update some pics of the kiddos and record some of the things that they are doing right now before I forget.

SADIE
Sadie's favorite things right now are playdough, fingerpaint, crayons, baby dolls, and tricycles. She has a little toy stroller that she loads up with a baby doll, a blanket, and a purse stuffed with stuff. This stroller is rarely more than 3 feet away from her because she takes it everywhere! She constantly amazes us with the new things that she is saying and learning. She loves to give me directions when we are driving to places like church (there are only 4 turns.)

DAVID
David loves to play with Sadie's toys, especially the princess ones. He no longer wants mushy baby foods, but prefers finger foods that he can feed himself. He is on the verge of crawling (I swear I've seen him crawl) but he mainly prefers to get around by rolling. . . and boy does he get around. He still doesn't have any teeth yet (Sadie didn't get any until about a year) but when he smiles you can see the outlines of his two bottom teeth.

Sadie and David usually play really well together. Sadie is so sweet and enjoys helping out with her baby brother and making him laugh. She is also really good about sharing her toys and making sure that David has a toy to play with, even if it is one of her own.

Aravaipa

Chris went on his first back packing trip with the Young Men, and is breaking in his new calling as Young Men's President. I'll try and caption the pictures, but I wasn't there so don't expect much. Chris wore a white long sleeve shirt (he packed at least 2 other shirts, but don't get me started on that) so that will help to find him in the pictures.

This is a picture of the whole group as they met in the middle of the canyon. They had split into two groups (Priests and Teachers) and each started on opposite sides of the canyon and left their cars there for the other group to take out.

Chilling at a campsite.

One of the swimming holes that they found. Chris is sitting on the rock on the left-- he said this water was too cold.

Boys will be boys.

Climbing up the side of something.

I love 10:30 Church

Almost as much as I love this headband and this face.

Want to make your own (headband, not child)? I used this blog and this blog. Have fun!

Original Artwork

I finally did this fun project that I've had sitting around for a while. I combined a few projects that I found on craft blogs (I don't even remember where I saw them anymore because it has been so long) and ended up with some fun, easy, unique art for David's room.
I painted some 12x12 canvases to match David's room and then added some animals that I cut out of scrapbook paper. I actually just stuck them on with some double sided tape, so if I decide that I don't like these anymore, I can just peel off the tape and start over!

I think this giraffe is my favorite. Just my kind of craft: simple and easy.
