Sunshine

As if we don't have enough sun here already, these three little smiles always add some sunshine to my day.

Sadie loves having a baby sister. . . maybe too much. I am constantly asking her to leave Eve alone and let go of her.

Eve is so proud of herself now that she can pull herself up to standing.

And I can't believe this has never happened before, but I thought it was so funny. Don't worry, he still loves his cars and trains.

"Ef"

Sadie brought this worksheet home from preschool and I got a kick out of it and our conversation.

Me: Sadie, who did you draw here?
Sadie: I drew my baby sister, Eve, because I love her.
Me: What are these letters?
Sadie: I wanted to write Eve, 'Eeefff'
Me (trying not to laugh, but I must admit I was a little impressed): So, Eve is your favorite plant?
Sadie: What!?
Me: It says here you were suppose to draw your favorite plant!
Sadie: Oops!!

Laundry

Eve wasn't very thrilled to be carried upstairs in a laundry basket on her way to nap time, but it sure was convenient. She is now 7 months and is officially crawling everywhere. She follows the kids from the family room to Sadie's room, trying to keep up with all the action. I think we may be hitting the "fun" point in church where she is going to be impossible to manage until she is old enough for nursery!

More Swimming

It is bittersweet to think that our daily swim sessions will come to a close in a few weeks. The kids look forward to them, but I know we will all enjoy cooler weather.

Sadie can swim across the pool and tread water.

She can entertain herself endlessly with diving sticks.

David mimics Sadie in his own version of "diving" for toys.

And Eve has gotten really good at sitting in her floaty.
