Trick or Treat

 Our lucky black cat. Sadie knew exactly what she wanted to be for Halloween. I was grateful for such a cute, easy costume. 

Our Cowboy. Aka Woody. David also knew exactly what he wanted to be for Halloween, and I must admit I steered him more toward a Woody costume, when all he wanted to do was wear a cowboy hat and boots.

Our cowgirl. Aka Jessie. She had no choice in her costume, but enjoyed saying, "Cowdy" whenever she had her costume on. I'm not sure if she was trying to say cow or howdy. I'm surprised we got 4 pictures with her hat on because she only left it on for a total of 4 minutes. As you can see in all of the pictures she is holding it, ready to take it off.

And a few group pictures. I love how David acts like he can barely tolerate Sadie hugging him. He is definitely a mini version of his Daddy at that age.

I've been a little bit negligent lately, but here are a few pictures. Some of them date back as far as July. . .

First up, a few of Eve:

One day in September it started raining as we were headed home from the grocery store. Eve was so intrigued by the water falling from the sky and insisted she be allowed to investigate it. Yes, rain is really that rare here. But, on the other hand we just stopped swimming in our pool two weeks ago.

She liked it!

Grandma's Visit

My mom decided to come down last minute and stay with us for a week. One of the days she was here was fall break for Sadie, so we all headed off to the zoo only to discover that half of phoenix was there, too. We improvised and went to the Scottsdale train park and had a great time. The kids had so much fun playing on the playground they almost forget about the train and carousel. 

We were sad to see Grandma leave early this morning. I am sure that she is ready to go back home and escape our crazy house and relax after her "vacation." She spent the majority of her time doing yard work (that was her idea,) sanding/prepping David's twin bed frame, helping me buy bedding for the twin bed, shopping at Old Navy's 40% off sale, and knitting an adorable cocoon (like this) for the new baby.
