Swimming

We spend about an hour a day in the pool during the summer. Usually we try and sneak out while Isaac is napping, but we let him join us sometimes.

Sadie told me once that she wanted to be someone who does tricks in the water. I showed her some videos of synchronized swimmers and she thought it looked fun. She is an awesome swimmer. She and David play this game where Sadie 'saves' David from drowning when he is in no danger of drowning. She got to use her skills one day when Eve was swimming in a tube and David was swimming to me on the other side of the pool. Sadie saw Eve slip out of the tube, so she went over and picked her up so she could breath and just a few seconds later I was there to pick Eve up, too. 

David started out the summer not wanting to get his face wet, and now he is swimming under water alone and taking breaths by himself. 

Road Trip- Picture Recap

We always try and make it up to visit family in Utah every summer. We started our trip up in Liberty at their 4th of July Fair. Chris' parents asked us on the way if they should sign Sadie and David up to ride a sheep. Being a girl from the suburbs I said yes. Little did I know they meant mutton busting. David chickened out (of everything) but Sadie rode a sheep for all of 1.5 seconds before she fell off, much like 90% of the other kids. I have some video of it if I ever load it onto our computer. . .
