Kauai was very beautiful and a totally different experience from Oahu. We spent the week snorkeling, swimming, hiking, biking, going on a helicopter ride, lounging on the beach, and enjoying the time to just relax.

Back to Reality
We're finally settling back to normal after our trip. We had a great vacation, but at the same time it is nice to be back. Sadie did not miss us one bit, she actually started calling my mom "mom," she would snuggle with my dad every night, and she never once asked for us. We were also glad to be able to spend the time with Chris' parents, because they'll be busy the next three years serving as a mission president.

That is so awesome that you got to go on that trip. isn't it so hard to leave your kid(s) behind.

That looks so beautiful! Tommy and I are actually going to Hawaii for our 5th anniversary this fall, too! We're trying to decide between Oahu and Kauai...would you recommend Kauai for a more relaxing and picturesque retreat then?
