Considering we are project people who like to save a buck (who doesn't??) and have plenty of empty space left in our house we decided we had to try this plan as soon as we saw it. It is a knock off of this Pottery Barn entryway storage bench and shelf.
Here is what we ended up with:
We are pretty happy with the results and that we spent less on the wood than we would have just for the baskets at PB.
In other news David is finally crawling (and reading the Friend, too.)

This looks great! It looks better than the PB one.
I love it. Scott loves that sight and is always planning to build something. He will be so excited to see your good results. I want that for my entry way. Please don't hate me if I copy you.
I have been so tempted to try some of her plans. Did you find it easy? I would have to concorit all by myself but it might be good therapy.
That looks great!!!
Love that blog too but I can't get Jack to help me out with the projects! Perhaps I will have to come over to your house! LOL
I love it!!!
It looks so good. I've gotta get working on a building project of my own.
This looks awesome. I linked here from the Knock on Wood website. This is going to be my first project. Quick question for you... Where did you find the baskets? Thanks in advance! Megan
