Not a Bad Way to Go Out!

On my last day of classes, my private property rights class took an "extended" tour of Chase Field--Home of the Arizona Diamondbacks. My professor helped acquire the property rights so that the stadium could be built a few years back. As such, he still has some connections at the stadium. Anybody can take a tour of the stadium, but we got to see a little extra! Our tour began with a short speech from the President of the Diamondbacks--Derrick Hall. He explained why the team changed its colors from purple and teal to Sedona Red. He also fielded questions like, "Why do we pitch to Barry Bonds?" It was great!

Here is Sadie at her first trip to Chase Field--other than when she was in the womb. (Last summer we went with the law firm and sat in their suite up above home plate).
This is the swimming pool in center field--yours for only $6500 a game--limited to about 30 people.
Lolly took this picture from the Press Box. What the picture doesn't show are all of the holes in the dry wall from foul balls. The stadium leaves the holes until the season is over and then patches them up for the next season.
Here is Lolly and Sadie in the Diamondbacks locker room. We weren't allowed to touch anything, but we were allowed to take pictures.
This is Lolly and Sadie in the Diamondbacks duggout. That was pretty cool!
Here they are again! Sadie slept through almost the entire tour. Meanwhile, Lolly and I were getting bombarded with questions and comments--"How old is she?" "She's so cute." "What's her name?" No one talks to you in class, but you carry a baby with you and you are everyone's best friend.
